I.T. Manager

What you'll do:

The I.T. Manager works within Valley West Mortgage, providing all levels of IT support, with a focus on providing System Administration support. The I.T. Manager works closely with, and provides support to the Valley West Mortgage team members and their customers. This position is also responsible for the design and implementation of enterprise components for deployment, based upon client or management specifications.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Administration of Windows based applications of basic principles, theories, and concepts
  • Administration of Exchange, remote access technologies, Microsoft Active Directory domain administration and support, including user/policy account creation, permissions allocation, resolving complex replication and authentication issues, creating file and print shares
  • User desktop management with a working knowledge of system patch practices and imaging
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Networking principles such as DNS, WINS, DHCP
  • Administration of third-party software integration within a server enterprise environment
  • Administration of enterprise backup solutions, including application administration and troubleshooting hardware-related issues
  • Administration of various data storage platforms
  • Provide on-site and remote IT support as needed by team members
  • Develop, maintain and improve system hardware and applicable software to sustain current requirements while planning for future improvement

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from a four-year college or university with three to five years related experience in Systems Administration or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience with managing an IT support team and department
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, activities and tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to work on-site and remote as the needs of the company may require
  • Demonstrates integrity and is widely trusted
  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate the needs of the company and individual department
  • Must have the personal communication and presentation skills that will represent the company professionally to outside agencies, financial institutions, business partners, employees and customers
